Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant (CA) to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing budgets, providing strategic financial advice, and supporting the organization in making informed financial decisions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a critical part in the financial health of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash & fund flow statement) in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and ensure timely reporting to management.
Review financial reports for accuracy.
Taxation and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax planning, preparation, and filing.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and accounting standards.
Prepare and submit tax returns (corporate tax, GST, etc.), ensuring timely and accurate filing.
Audit and Internal Controls:
Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes.
Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure financial integrity and mitigate risks.
Provide recommendations for process improvements.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor budget performance and report on variances, providing actionable insights to senior management.
Financial Advice and Strategy:
Advise management on financial strategies, investment opportunities, and cost optimization.
Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on financial data and performance analysis.
Account Reconciliation and Financial Close:
Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, general ledger, and other financial statements.
Ensure that all entries are recorded accurately and are in compliance with company policies.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments (e.g., Operations, HR, Legal) to ensure seamless financial operations.
Qualifications/Education: Bachelorsâ degree in finance / Masters in Finance or equivalent
A professional qualification in accounting, such as ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), or equivalent.
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or auditing, with at least 3 years in a similar role.
Strong experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
Proven track record of managing financial operations, reporting, and compliance.
Skills and Competencies: In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
