About the Google Analytics (GA4) Expert Role :
As a Google Analytics (GA4) Expert, you will be responsible for managing GA4 implementations for global organizations, which may include leading the transition from Adobe Analytics (or other similar platforms) to Google Analytics platforms, leveraging your expertise in both systems to drive data strategy and digital optimization. This role requires a deep understanding of web analytics, digital marketing, and tag management, along with hands-on experience in Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics 360, and Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the migration of analytics setups from Adobe Analytics to Google Analytics 360 and Google Analytics 4, ensuring a seamless transition with minimal data loss.
- Develop and execute detailed migration plans, including mapping of data layers, events, and variables from Adobe Analytics to Google Analytics.
- Design and deploy comprehensive tracking strategies using Google Tag Manager and Adobe Launch, ensuring accurate data capture and measurement across digital properties.
- Integrate Google Analytics 360 with existing data platforms such as Google Ads, Google BigQuery, and Adobe Audience Manager for holistic insights and reporting.
- Conduct gap analysis and provide recommendations to optimize analytics implementation and reporting post-migration.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Marketing, Product, and Development teams, to define KPIs and establish data requirements that align with business objectives.
- Create custom dashboards and reports to effectively communicate analytics findings to stakeholders, translating complex data into clear and actionable insights.
- Follow compliance guidelines for data governance standards and privacy regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA, within analytics implementations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any tracking issues or discrepancies that arise during and post-migration.
- Stay current with emerging analytics technologies and methodologies, providing thought leadership and recommendations for leveraging new capabilities.
Qualifications :
- 5+ years of experience in digital analytics, with strong expertise in both Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics 360/GA4.
- Proven track record of successfully migrating analytics setups from Adobe Analytics to Google Analytics, with hands-on experience in data mapping, implementation, and validation.
- Proficiency in using Google Tag Manager and Adobe Launch for implementing tracking solutions and managing tags.
- Experience with Adobe Audience Manager for cross-platform data integration and segmentation.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing concepts, including attribution, conversion tracking, and funnel analysis.
- Ability to manage complex data structures, troubleshoot tracking issues, and implement advanced analytics solutions.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS as they relate to tag implementation and analytics tracking.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Client facing skills/experience preferred
- Ability to interact with technical stakeholders to drive technical implementation in line with business requirements
- Experience in using SQL or other query languages for extracting and manipulating data is a plus.
