Global Logistics Sourcing Specialist - Air & Sea

Mission Statement:

The Trade, Transport & Logistics (TT&L) sourcing team is part of the central functions of TT&L in Hitachi Energy. Organized globally and in regions the team is managing all sourcing activities in this area. Hitachi Energy is seeking an experienced Transport and Logistics Global Sourcing Specialist - Air & Sea. This role is responsible for executing the global Logistics Sourcing strategy in line with Company and Supply Chain Management (SCM) Practice. Ensure availability of the needed sourcing agreements and rates for the respective category for general cargo Air & Sea.

Your Responsibilities :

• Implement and execute the regional TT&L strategy for Sourcing and Supply Base Management.

• Prepare for Air & Sea RFQs by working closely with internal stakeholders, data analysis and external suppliers

• Monitor performance with global KPIs and drive corrective actions where needed.

• Manage and develop strategies, implement targets and standards/processes for the business in order to improve cost and maximize spend value.

• Drive implementation of sourcing processes for General Cargo continuously benchmark the performance.

• Drive special projects in the region in accordance with global TT&L Strategy.

• Support on escalations for Sourcing issues to business during execution phase of the transports.

Your Background:

• Bachelor s degree in supply chain, Logistics Management or equivalent knowledge or experience.

• More than 5 years of experience with Air & Sea transportation.

• More then 2 years experience in sourcing of Air & Sea transport products.

• Experience in overland and/or customs sourcing is a plus.

• Experienced in management of sourcing of general cargo for Air & Sea in a globally environment.

• Knowledge of transport methods, costs, and benefits.

• Knowledge of transportation rules and regulations.

• Experience in remote & cross-cultural team management & Project Management.

• Advanced desktop computer skills including PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel and Outlook required.

• Experience with sourcing and benchmarking tools.

• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

• Drive to find solutions to complex logistics problems.

• Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple time-sensitive tasks in a dynamic environment.

• Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency Strong team player.

• Strong written and verbal communications skills required to manage a multitude of internal and external customers and partners.

• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
