We are seeking a seasoned SAP BASIS Administrator, This role involves in Administering the SAP database with Database Administrator (plan and perform database upgrades, apply database maintenance, design and maintain physical database layout, perform database reorganizations, design and implement backup and restore strategy, maintain database security, administer database performance, manage database storage, database problem determination and resolution
Roles and Responsibilities
Monitoring and administration of existing SAP Systems in a 24X7 support model.
Develop, implement, and execute SAP BASIS / HANA DB policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of SAP systems in support of the SAP applications.
Provide analysis based on troubleshooting for timely closure of tickets, System refresh, Client copy.
Work with team to manage and maintain SAP application and infrastructure
Report preparation as directed by leads.
Working closely with other product teams to meet and maintain operational KPIs/SLAs.
Participate in multi-landscape design solutions, architecture recommendations, and client strategies for continuous improvement.
Provide Support and Guidance to the other Project and Development teams during the build, test and productive operation of project implementation.
Setup and Configuration of Solution Manager Dashboards in order to monitor and administer the SAP systems.
SAP Security parameter management, Solution Manager configuration and ongoing support, SAP Batch job creation and maintenance, SAP Transport Management, SAP kernel maintenance and patch management, SAP Router configuration and ongoing support, SAP Backup and restores, SAP client copy, system copy, refresh, license management, SAP data and Business Document archiving maintenance.
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, functional teams, and IT colleagues, addressing system-related inquiries, incidents, and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects, system integrations, and business initiatives, ensuring alignment with SAP architecture and standards.
Must-Have Skills
Must have 3-6 years of experience in SAP BASIS Administration of SAP systems, both on-premises and on Amazon Cloud.
Should have completed SAP BASIS - HANA implementation , and experience with cloud platforms is an added advantage.
Must have completed at least two full SAP lifecycle SAP S/4 implementations.
Should have expertise in SAP Basis Administration, including migration, upgrades, and DB refreshes.
Should have overall knowledge of network and infrastructure, and experience with OS-level activities.
Should have been skilled in core BASIS technical tasks such as installation, migration, and upgrade.
Should have performed SAP client administration tasks such as creating, copying, deleting, and exporting/importing clients as required.
Should have maintained SAP performance by planning and executing tuning strategies, and monitor SAP systems (work processes, users, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces, disk space, etc.).
Should have strong knowledge of SAP systems, including installation, upgrade, and maintenance.
Should have experience with SAP license management, patching, and system sizing.
Should have proficiency in performance tuning, problem determination, and resolution.
Should have familiarity with tools and technology necessary for managing SAP projects and support (ticketing tools, monitoring tools, demand/capacity management tools, and automation tools).
Should have hands-on experience with SAP RISE environment setup, configuration, and administration.
Should have proficiency in SAP system monitoring tools, performance optimization techniques, and troubleshooting methodologies.
Should have a strong understanding of SAP security concepts, including user management, role administration, and authorization controls.
Should have experience with SAP system upgrades, patch management, and enhancement pack installations.
Good to Have Skills
SAP certifications in Basis administration and HANA are preferred but not required.
