Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the design, development, and testing of embedded hardware systems, including microcontrollers, microprocessors, FPGAs, and mixed-signal circuits.
- Develop detailed hardware specifications and schematics.
- Work closely with PCB layout engineers to ensure optimal board design.
- Lead the selection of components and perform component evaluation.
- Lead and mentor a team of 2-5 hardware design engineers.
- Manage multiple hardware development projects concurrently.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of deliverables.
- Collaborate with software engineers, mechanical engineers, and other cross-functional teams.
- Develop and execute test plans for hardware designs, including unit tests, integration tests, and environmental tests.
- Troubleshoot and debug hardware issues at the board and system levels.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g, FCC, CE, EMI/EMC).
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in embedded systems technologies, including microcontrollers, processors, FPGAs, and communication interfaces.
- Conduct research and development activities to explore new technologies and develop innovative solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of hardware designs, test procedures, and project progress.
Qualifications :
- Experience : 8+ years of experience in embedded hardware design and development.
- Education : Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Technical Skills :
- Strong experience with microcontrollers/microprocessors (e.g, ARM Cortex-M, ARM Cortex-A, x86) and their peripherals.
- Experience with digital design principles, including logic design, state machines, and digital signal processing.
- Experience with analog circuit design, including power supplies (linear and switching), amplifiers, and sensors.
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g, OrCAD, Altium, Allegro).
- Experience with high-speed interfaces such as USB, Ethernet, PCIe, DDR, and serial interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART).
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment (e.g, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers).
