The Lead - Collections Strategy will be responsible for developing and implementing the collections strategy for MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) and LAP (Loan Against Property) products, ensuring optimal portfolio performance.
The role involves leveraging advanced analytics, managing automation projects, and developing actionable insights to improve collections outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have strong data analysis, reporting, and strategic thinking skills, along with experience in the collections space.
Key Responsibilities:
MIS and Analytics Rollout:
- Lead the rollout of Management Information Systems (MIS), analytics, and process setup for MSME and LAP products within the collections and tele-calling unit.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to monitor end-to-end performance and productivity.
Automation Projects:
- Manage automation projects, develop user stories, and oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for the collections unit.
- Use collection systems to devise strategies for improving the performance of field, branch, agency, and tele-calling units.
Advanced Analytics Development:
- Develop and implement advanced analytics methodologies, including statistical modeling, to provide insights that drive business impact.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends and actionable insights that can enhance collections outcomes.
Reporting and Dashboards:
- Create advanced reports and dashboards to facilitate faster and more informed decision-making.
- Regularly publish MIS reports, dashboards, and presentations (weekly, daily, monthly) to leadership and other stakeholders.
Process Improvement:
- Continuously improve processes and strategies for better operational efficiency in collections.
- Automate and enhance existing MIS reports, and develop new ones based on stakeholder requirements.
Collection Deck Preparation:
- Prepare and maintain Collection Decks, showcasing various portfolio and collection metrics to ensure visibility and insights across the team.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities for the collections unit to align resources and drive effective decision-making.
Key Accountabilities:
Advanced Analytics & Modeling:
- Implement advanced analytics approaches and statistical modeling to derive insights that impact collections performance.
- Analyze large datasets to understand trends and convert findings into actionable insights for overdue account management.
Storytelling & Insights:
- Effectively present analytical outputs with clear, concise, and persuasive insights that inform collections strategies for overdue accounts.
Process Automation & Reporting:
- Automate and enhance the current MIS reports and develop new reports to meet stakeholder requirements.
- Ensure regular publishing of MIS reports and dashboards, making data accessible to leadership and key stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement:
- Regularly drive improvements in processes and strategies for optimizing collections efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- A Master's or relevant certification is a plus.
Experience:
- 6+ years of experience in collections strategy, data analytics, and MIS reporting, preferably in the financial services or lending sector.
- Proven expertise in handling large datasets and leveraging analytics to drive business outcomes.
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in statistical modeling and data visualization.
- Expertise in creating advanced reports and dashboards using tools like Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Knowledge of collections systems and automation tools.
- Strong storytelling and articulation skills to present complex analytical insights in an accessible and actionable manner.
Technical Proficiency:
- Experience with data analytics tools and programming languages (SQL, Python, R, etc. ) for data analysis and automation.
- Familiarity with collections systems and MIS reporting platforms.
Communication:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to effectively communicate insights and drive data-driven decision-making across the team
