Job Description / Role / Responsibilities:
The role would give high level of market exposure to the candidate as it involves extensive external engagement with Discoms, Traders, Generating Companies, Industries, SERCs, CERC, MOP etc, to drive the business interest of HPX. The same would range from bringing all major power sector players on-board to ensuring power trade by these entities daily to meet & exceed companys market share and revenue targets on a quarterly & yearly basis.
1. Identify & convert potential business opportunities leading to business generation for the company.
2. Screen potential business deals by analysing opportunities and critically evaluating potential business deals, evaluating options basis short term & long-term priorities in companys interest.
3. Develop short, medium and long-term business plan based on strategic framework and business goals and objectives of the organization and prepare detailed strategies for achieving set goals.
4. Develop and nurture relationships across the power value chain through exceptional service levels.
5. Achieve assigned KRAs (Key Result Areas) on Quarterly basis & support team towards the same.
6. Finalize business deals through constant engagement with market participants.
7. Gather market intelligence and identify trendsetter ideas and potential growth areas by researching industry, related events, government policies, publications, and announcements.
8. Liaison with government authorities as per the business requirements.
9. Keep the management updated of the day-to-day developments related to the assigned role and share strategies to achieve the assigned roles and responsibilities to the team.
10. Manage the Business Development Teams across the country to ensure common goal and concerted efforts to achieve Business Targets.
11. Keep a tab on the direct & indirect initiatives being pursued by the competitors to align and modify HPX business strategy to protect business interest in long term.
12. Represent HPX at different National & International Platforms.
Key Skills/Competency:
1. Effective Orator having good Communication and Articulation skills.
2. Sound Business acumen with efficient and Powerful Negotiation skills.
3. Strong Networking and Relationship management in the Power Industry.
4. Knowhow of Enterprises, Institutional and B2B sales - Private Sector/Govt and PSUs.
5. knowledge of Indian Power Market framework specially exchanges and Exposure to Power Regulatory Processes/Regulations will be an added advantage.
6. Proven success in the Business Development related areas, preferably in power trading.
7. Sound Technological Knowledge of Trading Platforms and day to day Operations Management.
8. Should possess strong Analytical skills to prepare Business Strategies and analyse Techno- Commercial evaluation of potential Business and project reports etc.
9. Should possess Leadership trait with special focus on Team development.
Qualification and Experience:
1. Qualification: Must be a B.E/B.Tech (from a recognized University / Institution), MBA (Desirable)
2. Experience: Minimum 20 Years
