Overview:
As the Techno-Commercial Vice President for our ethanol plant, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our operations, with a focus on both technical excellence and commercial success. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, and profitability while fostering a culture of innovation and sustainability.
Role & responsibilities
Technical Leadership:
- Provide strategic direction and technical expertise to optimize ethanol production processes.
- Implement and oversee best practices in plant operations, maintenance, and safety protocols.
- Stay updated with industry trends, advancements in ethanol production technology, and regulatory requirements.
Commercial Strategy:
- Develop and execute comprehensive commercial strategies to maximize market penetration and revenue growth.
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and market trends to expand the company's footprint.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop effective pricing strategies and marketing campaigns.
Financial Management:
- Drive financial performance through effective cost management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators, implementing corrective actions as necessary to ensure profitability.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and capital allocation decisions to support long-term growth objectives.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Recruit, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to department heads and staff, promoting professional development and skills enhancement.
- Lead by example, embodying the company's values and commitment to excellence.
Regulatory Compliance and Sustainability:
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and quality control measures.
- Champion sustainability initiatives, implementing eco-friendly practices and driving towards carbon neutrality.
- Engage with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and stakeholders to advocate for policies supportive of renewable energy production.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or related field.
Advanced degree (MBA/PGDM in IFAT) preferred.
- Proven track record of leadership in the energy or chemical manufacturing industry, with a focus on ethanol production or related technologies.
- Strong understanding of both technical and commercial aspects of plant operations, including process optimization, supply chain management, and market dynamics.
- Excellent strategic planning and decision-making skills, with the ability to drive results and adapt to changing business environments.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, sustainability, and corporate responsibility.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and performance metrics.
- Experience in regulatory compliance and familiarity with relevant industry standards and practices.
