IT Test Manager

Job Summary:

• The Test Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the testing processes for software solutions in the lending domain, including loan origination, loan management, and collection systems. This role involves overseeing the testing strategy, coordinating with in-house development teams and third-party product teams, and ensuring adherence to SDLC processes. The Test Manager will lead and mentor test engineers, review test cases, and drive the automation of testing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

Testing Strategy & Planning:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive testing strategy for lending related applications, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Define test objectives, scope, and resource requirements for various testing phases (functional, regression, UAT, etc.).

Test Management:

• Oversee the entire testing lifecycle, from test case design to execution and defect management, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
• Manage test planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure that testing activities are completed on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with in-house development teams and third-party product teams to ensure seamless integration of testing processes.

Automated Testing:

• Lead the implementation of automated testing frameworks and tools to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
• Review and optimize existing automated test scripts and ensure they align with project requirements and best practices.

Domain Expertise:

• Leverage expertise in the lending domain, including loan origination, loan management, collections, and financial accounting, to develop relevant test scenarios and cases.
• Ensure that testing activities cover all critical aspects of the lending process, including regulatory compliance and risk management.

UAT Coordination:

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions with end-users and stakeholders to validate system functionality and performance.
• Gather feedback from UAT sessions and work with development teams to address any issues or enhancements identified.

Team Leadership & Mentoring:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of test engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Conduct regular team meetings to review testing progress, discuss challenges, and share best practices.

Test Case Review & Optimization:

• Review and approve test cases, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
• Continuously optimize testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce time-to-market.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Prepare and present regular reports on testing progress, defect trends, and overall quality metrics to senior management.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of testing processes, results, and defect management for audit and compliance purposes.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and product managers, to understand requirements and ensure alignment on testing objectives.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders and the testing team to ensure clarity on testing deliverables and timelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8-12 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, with a focus on the lending domain and financial applications.
• Strong expertise in automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, QTP, TestNG) and experience in designing and implementing test automation strategies.
• In-depth knowledge of the loan origination process, loan management, collections, and financial accounting principles.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in an Agile testing environment.
• Strong understanding of the SDLC process, testing methodologies, and best practices.
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring teams of test engineers and managing testing projects.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high quality software solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
