Job Title: Industrial Engineer
Department: Production/Operations
Reports To: Production Manager/Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities

Process Optimization & Improvement:

• Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to ensure maximum efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles, reduce waste, and improve workflow efficiency.
• Identify bottlenecks in production and propose actionable solutions.

Time and Motion Study:

• Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard times for various operations.
• Develop and implement labor standards, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.

Capacity Planning:

• Conduct capacity planning and production line balancing to meet production targets and customer demands.
• Ensure proper alignment of resources, manpower, and materials to prevent production delays.

Quality Control:

• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure adherence to product quality standards.
• Suggest improvements in the production process to maintain high-quality standards.

Machine & Equipment Maintenance:

• Analyze the performance of equipment and machinery to identify areas for improvement.
• Work with maintenance teams to reduce downtime and improve equipment efficiency.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Prepare regular reports on production efficiency, downtime analysis, and process improvements.
• Maintain detailed records of process changes, improvements, and performance metrics.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with production, planning, and engineering teams to implement process improvements.
• Provide technical support to resolve production-related issues in real-time.

Training & Development:

• Train staff on new procedures, equipment, and best practices.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: 3-8 years of experience in an industrial engineering role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in footwear or related industries.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, time and motion studies, and production optimization.
• Proficiency in using industrial engineering tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, ERP systems, Excel, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and standards within a manufacturing environment.

Additional Information:

• Location: The position is based at our Soldha/MIE plant.
• Work Hours: Full-time, with occasional overtime depending on project deadlines and production schedules.
