Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer with 6-10 years of experience in manual and automation testing, including API testing. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing and executing both manual and automated test cases using tools like Selenium and Playwright, as well as experience in API testing. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications by collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manual Testing
- Design, write, and execute detailed test cases for UI and backend applications.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using test management tools.
- Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
API Testing
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or equivalent.
- Validate API functionality, performance, and security through automated test scripts.
- Design test cases for RESTful APIs and validate request/response data using JSON or XML.
Quality Assurance Process
- Define and implement QA best practices and processes for manual and automated testing.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure test requirements are clear and achievable.
- Prepare and share test reports, metrics, and defect summaries with stakeholders.
Collaboration and Teamwork
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve blockers and improve delivery timelines.
- Mentor junior QA team members in manual and automation testing practices.
