- Lead the planning, execution, and management of instrumentation projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to quality standards, and compliance with budget.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, operations) to ensure smooth implementation of instrumentation systems.
- Ensure project timelines are met by planning and coordinating resources, monitoring project progress, and troubleshooting issues.
- Handle project documentation, report progress, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
2. Cost Control & Budget Management
- Responsible for budgeting and cost control of instrumentation projects, ensuring projects are executed within the allocated budget.
- Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising on quality.
- Provide regular budget status reports to senior management and propose cost-saving solutions
3. Evaluation of New Technologies
- Assess and evaluate new instrumentation technologies, automation systems, and industry trends to enhance plant operations and performance.
- Work with vendors to assess and integrate new products or solutions that improve efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead efforts to pilot new technologies, conduct feasibility studies, and implement best practices.
4. Training & Team Development
- Manage a team of engineers, providing leadership, mentorship, and career development.
- Conduct regular training sessions for the engineering team to enhance their technical skills and knowledge of instrumentation and automation.
- Develop a culture of continuous learning by promoting new technologies, processes, and methodologies within the team.
5. Vendor Development & Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of instrumentation systems and services.
- Lead vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance evaluation to ensure high-quality standards.
- Manage the procurement process, including cost evaluation, and ensure that vendors meet performance benchmarks
