Role & responsibilities

1. Market Research & Analysis

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify opportunities for growth in international markets.
  • Analyze trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape in key global regions such as US, Europe and the Middle East.
  • Develop entry strategies for new markets and assess the viability of current markets.

2. International Sales Strategy

  • Develop and implement comprehensive international marketing strategies to promote seafood products across diverse global markets.
  • Identify and onboard international distributors, partners, and customers.

3. Brand Development & Positioning

  • Promote the companys seafood brand in the international market by adapting marketing materials and campaigns to suit cultural and regional preferences.
  • Develop compelling messaging and promotional strategies that resonate with different target audiences across the globe.
  • Ensure consistent branding across all marketing channels and platforms.

4. Relationship Building & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with global distributors, retailers, importers, and other key stakeholders in the seafood industry.
  • Collaborate with production, logistics, and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth international operations.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with international seafood trade regulations.

5. Regulatory & Compliance

  • Ensure marketing strategies comply with international laws, trade agreements, and food safety regulations, particularly in regions with strict import/export

requirements.

  • Stay up to date on sustainability practices and industry certifications (e.g., MSC, ASC) relevant to seafood marketing.

6. Budgeting & Reporting

  • Manage the marketing budget for international campaigns and track return on investment (ROI).
  • Provide regular reports on campaign performance, market trends, and sales growth in key regions.
  • Adjust strategies based on data-driven insights to improve effectiveness.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, International Business, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in international marketing, preferably within the seafood, food, or FMCG industries.
  • Strong knowledge of global seafood markets, trade regulations, and distribution channels.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful international marketing campaigns.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
