Role : Software Engineer
Role Overview :
As a Software Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to investigate, diagnose, and resolve production environment issues by analyzing logs, metrics, and performance data. You will contribute to automation efforts, system health checks, and data processing to improve operational efficiency and minimize manual intervention.
Key Responsibilities :
Incident Management : Investigate and resolve issues in production environments by analyzing logs, metrics, and performance data.
Automation Development : Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine tasks such as system health checks and data processing.
Collaboration : Work closely with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and minimal disruption to production systems.
Documentation : Provide detailed documentation of incidents, resolutions, and known issues for future reference.
Root Cause Analysis : Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents and collaborate on solutions to prevent future occurrences.
Preventive Measures : Suggest and implement preventive measures to improve system reliability and uptime.
Escalation Management : Ensure timely resolution of incidents, escalating to L3 support when necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Technical Knowledge :
Languages/Tools : Python, Oracle, Synapse (Junior to Mid-level), SNOW (ServiceNow), JIRA
Incident Management : Ability to diagnose and resolve production issues swiftly.
Automation Tools : Experience in developing automation tools and scripts to improve operational efficiency.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA) : Strong analytical skills to identify recurring issues and prevent their recurrence.
