Job Description

Job Summary:

The Business Head - Sales will be responsible for driving sales growth, market penetration, and strategic business development for Solar Mounting Structures across India. This role demands a visionary leader who can build and execute comprehensive sales strategies, develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, and achieve sustainable business objectives in a highly competitive renewable energy market.


Sales Strategy & Planning:

  1. Develop and implement the national sales strategy for Solar Mounting Structures aligned with organizational goals.
  2. Identify emerging market trends, customer needs, and business opportunities to gain a competitive edge.
  3. Define clear sales targets, KPIs, and revenue goals for the team.

Market Development & Penetration:

  1. Expand market share by establishing a strong presence in untapped geographies.
  2. Build and maintain a network of industry stakeholders, including EPC companies, developers, and government bodies.
  3. Partner with cross-functional teams to support product development and address market-specific demands.

Key Account Management & Customer Relationships:

  1. Build long-term relationships with key clients and strategic partners.
  2. Ensure timely and effective resolution of customer queries, maintaining high satisfaction levels.
  3. Negotiate and close high-value deals with large-scale clients and project developers.

Key Performance Areas (KRA):

  1. Sales Revenue: Achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  2. Market Expansion: Number of new regions/customers penetrated and market share growth.
  3. Profitability: Contribution to profit margins by optimizing pricing and cost strategies.
  4. Team Performance: Improvement in team productivity, engagement, and retention.
  5. Customer Satisfaction: Client feedback scores and repeat business percentage.
  6. Project Execution: Timely delivery of orders and alignment with customer project timelines.
  7. Innovation: Number of innovative solutions proposed and implemented to address market needs.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience:

  • 15-20 years of experience in Solar Mounting Structure Projects or related roles in renewable energy.
  • Experience: Minimum 12-15 years in B2B sales, with at least 5 years in leadership roles within the solar or renewable energy sector.

Skills:

  • Proven track record in scaling sales and achieving business goals.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent understanding of solar mounting structure technology and market dynamics.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience solar mounting structure manufacturers.
  • Knowledge of policies, incentives, and subsidies in the renewable energy sector.
