Job Description
- Perform inspections & testing with conventional measuring instruments & gauges on manufactured and out-sourced parts and verifying conformance against drawing specifications & generate inspection reports..
- Program and operate CMM ( Renishaw Make, 5 Axis Bridge Type CMM) to inspect complex parts and assemblies.
- Develop and optimize CMM programs using appropriate software (Arco CAD).
- Perform dimensional inspections, and generate comprehensive CMM inspection reports, including but not limited to:
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) verification.
- Feature measurements (includes, length, diameter, angle, surface finish etc.).
- Coordinate measurements.
- Form and profile analysis.
- Take initiatives to perform mass inspections on CMM to reduce inspection time.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues through deviation approval & engineering change requests..
- Ensure all measuring instruments are calibrated before their due date by coordinating with external labs and performing in-house calibration on gauges.
