Job Description

As a Vulnerability Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying , assessing, and reporting on vulnerabilities in software, hardware, and network systems. Your role will involve analyzing data from vulnerability scans, conducting manual testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on software, hardware, and network systems to identify vulnerabilities.

Collaborate with development teams to prioritize and remediate identified vulnerabilities.

Analyze data from vulnerability scans and manual testing to determine the severity and impact of vulnerabilities.

Develop and maintain vulnerability management processes and procedures.

Stay up to date with emerging threats and vulnerabilities and provide recommendations to improve the security posture of the organization.

Monitor and analyze threat intelligence sources to identify potential vulnerabilities.

Produce reports detailing vulnerabilities and remediation efforts to stakeholders.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science , Information Security, or a related field.

Relevant industry certifications such as CEH, OSCP, or CISSP are a plus.

Experience with vulnerability assessment tools such as Nessus, Qualys, or Rapid7.

Strong knowledge of security principles, standards, and best practices.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

The Vulnerability Analyst will work in a typical office environment. Some travel may be required to meet with vendors or attend industry events. The position may require working outside of normal business hours to support incident response or other security-related events.
