NOC Support Engineer (L1/L2)

Job Description

We are seeking highly motivated and skilled NOC Support Engineers (L1/L2) to join our Network Operations Center (NOC) team. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in network monitoring, troubleshooting, and escalation management, with expertise in routing, switching, and ticketing systems. Key Responsibilities

L1 NOC Support Engineer:

• Monitor network systems and proactively identify issues using monitoring tools.
• Perform initial diagnosis and troubleshooting for network alerts and incidents.
• Escalate unresolved issues to L2 engineers or appropriate teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, changes, and resolutions.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure SLA adherence and prompt issue resolution.

L2 NOC Support Engineer:

• Conduct advanced troubleshooting for escalated network issues.
• Configure and manage Cisco ASR 9000 series routers and other network devices.
• Diagnose and resolve complex BGP, MPLS, and other routing/switching protocol issues.
• Perform root cause analysis for critical incidents and recommend long-term solutions.
• Guide L1 engineers and provide technical mentoring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors for problem resolution.

Qualifications & Skills

For L1 Engineer:

• Certification: CCNA (Mandatory).
• Experience: 1-2 years in NOC support or network monitoring.
• Technical Skills:
• Basic understanding of routing/switching protocols (BGP, MPLS, etc.).
• Familiarity with Cisco ASR 9000 series routers.
• Experience with ticketing tools and escalation workflows.

For L2 Engineer:

• Certification: CCNP (Mandatory).
• Experience: 3-5 years in advanced network operations and NOC support.
• Technical Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of routing/switching protocols (BGP, MPLS, etc.).
• Extensive experience with Cisco ASR 9000 series routers.
• Proficiency in using ticketing tools and conducting root cause analysis.
