Job Description

About the Role:

Cyderes is looking for a dedicated, creative, and experienced Software Engineer II to join the Managed Services Engineering team. The candidate should have experience working efficiently on small teams, being flexible filling roles, and be familiar with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP). The primary function will be contributing directly to the development of Next.JS web applications. Candidate should be detail-oriented, able to handle multiple high-priority demands while driving consistent results and have a passion for delivering well-engineered and tested code. Candidate should also bring the right attitude to the team including accountability, ownership, and positivity. We embrace the fast-paced development field and are looking for like-minded individuals that have a passion for continual improvement, innovative ideas, tinkering with new projects, and taking on complex problems.

Responsibilities:

Undertake development tasksutilizing technologies like React, Next.js , Node.js , Kubernetes
Participate in all team scrum ceremonies
Participate in technical discussions and work with the team to design robust, secure, monitored, and well-maintained systems
Support a 24x7 team on-call rotation for production incidents
Engage in code review to ensure high-quality code standards and foster knowledge sharing
Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation for web applications and processes
Work with CI/CD tools and processes to ensure seamless deployment of web applications
Apply best practices in cybersecurity to safeguard web applications from potential threats and vulnerabilities
Supportand enhance a Content Management System (Strapi)
Continuously learn about new web technologies to enhance the effectiveness of web solutions

Requirements:

Minimum of 3years in software development
Upholds core values of accountability, integrity, empathy, and responsiveness
A proven ability to work effectively in small team settings
Experienced with Git and CI/CD tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
Experience in React and Next.js
Proficiency in JavaScript and familiarity with TypeScript
Bachelor s Degree in a relevant field
Experience using content management systems (Strapi, Contentful, etc.)
Practical knowledge of containerization and orchestration, specifically Kubernetes and Docker
Practiced in Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum
Familiarity with fundamental principles of cybersecurity and the web
