Develop and lead the category sourcing efforts, incorporating best practices and aligning with the business requirements / company strategy for Content Collection and Broadcasting Services Categories.
Develop trusting relationships with business / functional stakeholders and suppliers; lead cross-functional teams to ensure effective, collaborative and strategic sourcing decisions are made that satisfy requirements of internal stakeholders
Develop a deep understanding of the outsourced services to facilitate an efficient and agile response to operational and contractual challenges accordingly set targets / objectives and manage key vendors performance for a group of spend categories.
Execute strategies and improvement plans for several assigned categories
Maintains category expertise by leveraging external networks, business stakeholders, and key suppliers
Execute the sourcing strategy and levers to pull early in the project
Support development of cross-functional category teams
Interfaces with internal customers to understand requirements, demand management opportunities, and issues resolution
Engages key stakeholders for inclusion in sourcing strategy development and execution
Notifies the Manager when a conflict arises between stakeholder requirements and sourcing strategy
Conduct sourcing events
Develop and maintains market information on suppliers and work with key stakeholders to identify qualified supply base
Creates RFQs / RFPs with regards to execution of bid events
Work with cross-functional / key stakeholders to develop selection criteria
Conduct supplier negotiations
Manages ongoing vendor relationships with business and functional leads
Acts as a liaison between business / functional leads and supplier; owns compliant resolution
Implements improvement ideas with supplier
Helps drive tracking and reporting for category spend areas
Develops tracking mechanisms and supplier key performance indicators with manager
Tracks compliance to preferred supplier list
Uses procurement tools and systems to create operational efficiency and visibility
Negotiates skillfully in situations with both internal and external parties; can win concessions while maintaining relationships; can be direct and forceful as well as diplomatic
Who are you?
You will need to have the following experience:
8+ Business experience in strategic sourcing with 8+ years of professional experience; global sourcing a plus
Management consulting experience a plus
BS with MBA a plus
Solid analytical and problem solving skills; proficient in Microsoft office products
Ability to interface / engage with clients and suppliers via strong written, oral, and presentation skills
