Job Description
Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping: Record day-to-day financial transactions accurately in the general ledger.Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, expense reports, and ensure timely payment to vendors.Assist in the preparation of customer invoices and follow up on accounts receivable.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and generate routine financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets.Assist in the analysis of financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Compliance and Audit Support: Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audit processes.
- Assist in Budgeting and Forecasting: Contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts.Analyze budget variances and provide explanations as needed.
- Financial Software Utilization: Utilize accounting software and tools proficiently for data entry, reconciliation, and reporting.Stay updated on industry best practices and recommend improvements in financial processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues in different departments to gather financial information and resolve queries.Provide support during special projects and initiatives as required.
Skills and qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience or internship in accounting is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
