Role Description:

• To be responsible for the adequacy, rotation & training, maintaining training records and conduct retraining and reassessment of his/ her team when necessary
• To be responsible for Lab operations of Mumbai Lab.
• To provide department wise asset register (fixed & medical consumables) and to ensure physical check every 15 days
• To review daily IQC, EQAS, Inter-lab & Intra-lab comparison, maintenance of QC records with CA/PA (corrective and preventive actions)
• To provide monthly QC review with QA representative and ensure periodic department audits
• To update and review test SOPs and communicate to the Lab Technicians.
• To ensure implementation of the defined processes
• To maintain TAT, errors logs, critical values, sample rejection, clinical correlation, sample retention and discard and to follow other documented protocols
• To monitor STAT & Pending list
• To maintain installation, calibration & AMC records
• To record instrument breakdown with CA/PA, validation of new kit with records
• To do microscopy wherever applicable
• To be responsible for authentication of reports
• To conduct CMEs for staff (internal training)
• To attend to patient complaints and feedback and to take necessary CA/PA
