Electrical and Maintenance Engineer

Job Details:

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily rounds of the technical/utilities area.

• Review and countersign all technical log books such as DG, LT, transformer, reading register, ETP, and technician handing-taking over books. Correct and guide technicians in case of any record errors.

• Ensure scheduled PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) is performed and maintain checklists and history cards for all activities on equipment.

• Maintain history cards for all equipment based on activities carried out.

• Manage and allocate technical manpower according to site requirements; escalate shortages to the Technical Manager and Manager.

• Collaborate closely with Admins and Lab Managers for lab and facility upkeep.

• Monitor HSD (High-Speed Diesel) stock and consumption daily.

• Ensure proper working conditions and maintenance of all engineering assets and equipment. • Resolve complaints related to engineering works promptly.

• Perform data entry and maintain records and log books in a professional manner, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Maintain and enforce compliance with checklists by operators.

• Escalate suggestions and observations aimed at improving maintenance systems and procedures.

• Track pending complaints and minimize Turnaround Time (TAT) for resolutions.

• Manage engineering and maintenance projects and perform/monitor maintenance and preventative maintenance activities.

• Support departmental maintenance programs and complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists.

• Ensure the smooth operation of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) equipment on a day-to-day basis.

• Troubleshoot equipment faults such as Earth Faults, PF issues, and electricity bill discrepancies.

• Track and manage the PPM calendar.

• Maintain polite communication with both internal and external customers.

• Uphold grooming, uniform standards, and proper use of PPEs (Personal Protective Equipment). • Ensure safety measures for the premises, equipment, and personnel. Report unsafe conditions immediately and coordinate with the Operations & Admin teams. Key Competencies:

• Strong experience in Engineering Operations & Maintenance.

• Effective team player with the ability to manage and train subordinates like MST (Maintenance Support Technicians).

• Knowledgeable in maintenance-related tasks and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ability to interact professionally with a wide range of clients and internal staff.

• Vendor management experience with the ability to troubleshoot and execute small projects. Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of MEP systems in labs, offices, and facilities.

• Experience in AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts) and CMC (Comprehensive Maintenance Contracts) tracking with timely renewals. •

Expertise in managing PPM calendars and executing PPM activities on-site.

• Hands-on experience managing day-to-day maintenance issues across multiple locations in India.

• Knowledge of Fire Fighting Equipment, Fire Security Systems, RO Systems, DG, UPS, DB, MCB, MCCB, PF, Earthing, AC, and other relevant systems. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
