Head - Corporate Strategy & Sustainability - FMCG/Consumers | East India | 15 to 20 Years
We are driving a Leadership Role in Strategy & Sustainability with one of the Manufacturing Client:
Role: Head Corporate Strategy
Location: East India
- Minimum of 15 to 20 years of progressive experience in senior leadership roles, with a significant portion focused on organisational strategy within manufacturing or any other relevant industry
- Demonstrated track record and tangible evidence of successfully formulating and leading strategic initiatives that - drive business growth and innovation
- Experience in handling sustainability / ESG in manufacturing industry with knowledge of regulations and sustainability practices
- Experience leading M&As, JVs, and Partnerships is required; Exposure to Sustainability is an advantage
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Marketing, or Engineering; MBA / Advanced degree in Business/ Management is an advantage
- Job Purpose: Oversee key strategic initiatives across the organization, while leading the charge for M&As, Sustainability, AOPs, Market entry, and greenfield and brownfield projects;
- ESG, CSR, and Sustainability
- Shape and execute the company's sustainable practices including establishing short term and long-term goals, focused on CSR initiatives, optimizing waste management, emissions control, and hazardous material
- Actively seek out potential new areas of focus and business potential, identify untapped markets, emerging trends, and innovative technologies that align with company's director
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, including gathering data, analyzing market dynamics, and identifying potential areas for growth or risk
- Monitor competitors' strategies, product launches, and market positioning, to gather
- Scan the market to identify potential targets for M&As, JVs, Partnerships, and other inorganic growth opportunities, and conduct due diligence and assess strategic fit and financial viability of such opportunities
- Evaluate and prioritize investment in greenfield projects, and identify potential market entry opportunities by analyzing megatrends, adjacencies, and synergies with existing businesses, and assess market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to identify attractive markets for expansion
- Formulate AOPs and LRPs - collaborating with dept. heads to gather input for budgeting, aligned to organisation's goals
- Enable competitive landscaping, including the main competitors and emerging players, market trends, and industry dynamics, and using inputs from these to develop competitive strategies.
