Our Client is a well reputed MNC company.
Position Overview:
- The Head of Sustainability will lead the development and execution of the company's sustainability strategy, focusing on environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and governance.
- This role will integrate sustainability into the company's core business, driving long-term value while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and global sustainability standards.
Key Responsibilities:.
Environmental Sustainability:
- Design and implement strategies to meet biodiversity goals, enhance material circularity, and reduce CO emissions, supporting the companys net-zero objectives.
- Lead initiatives related to "In Harmony with Nature," "Value Natural Resources," and "Net Zero CO Emissions.
- Track, evaluate, and report on environmental performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for innovation.
Social Responsibility:.
- Lead initiatives to promote employee health and wellness, fostering a positive and sustainable workplace culture.
- Collaborate with the CSR team to align sustainability goals with broader social impact programs, including community engagement and development activities.
Governance and Compliance:.
- Ensure adherence to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) regulations, including requirements from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
- Oversee sustainability projects to ensure alignment with internal policies, stakeholder expectations, and regulatory - requirements.
- Manage ESG reporting and disclosures in line with industry standards and regulatory obligations.
Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR):.
- Oversee compliance with EPR regulations, including waste management, recycling programs, and other sustainability-related initiatives.
- Develop self-sustaining business models that support EPR activities and long-term sustainability goals.
Financial Management:.
- Prepare, monitor, and manage the sustainability budget, ensuring effective use of financial resources.
- Control costs and monitor expenditures in alignment with the approved budget, ensuring financial sustainability of initiatives.
Training and Development:.
- Lead the professional development of the sustainability team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, enhancing their expertise in sustainability practices and leadership.
Stakeholder Engagement and Awareness:.
- Promote sustainability awareness among supply chain partners through workshops, training, and events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to drive collective action and advocacy for sustainable practices.
Qualifications and Skills:.
- Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 15 years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, or corporate social responsibility, with a proven track record of driving successful sustainability initiatives in a corporate environment.
- In-depth knowledge of ESG frameworks, EPR regulations, and sustainability reporting standards.
- Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively advocate for sustainability both internally and externally.
