Site Reliability/Staff Engineer - NewRelic/Docker (12-17 yrs)

Job Title : SRE Staff Engineer (12+ years)

Location : Chennai/Mumbai Or Remote

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage the reliability and scalability of complex, distributed systems in production.

- Ensure the performance, availability, and security of applications and infrastructure on AWS.

- Utilize tools like CloudWatch, New Relic, Docker, and Terraform to monitor, automate, and optimize cloud infrastructure.

- Develop and implement SRE practices, including incident response, post-mortems, and capacity planning.

- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve the reliability and efficiency of deployed systems.

- Maintain and optimize Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and infrastructure automation.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across production environments.

- Contribute to designing and implementing infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform and Docker.

Skills & Experience Required :

- 12+ years of experience in software engineering or IT infrastructure, with at least 7+ years in an SRE or similar role.

- Strong hands-on experience with AWS (5+ years) and services such as CloudWatch, CDN, and New Relic.

- Solid experience with Docker and Terraform for containerization and infrastructure automation.

- Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools such as Puppet, Ansible, or Chef is a plus.

- Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks to ensure system reliability.

- Proven ability to work under pressure and manage production incidents effectively.

Certification Mandatory :

- At least 1 AWS certification. Basic certifications like AWS Cloud Practitioner are not acceptable.
