Job Duties and Qualifications
Under direct supervision, develops skills to allow for technical interpretation and operational assistance at the wellsite during frac operations in a professional manner. Assists in pre job planning, field level execution, and post job documentation as on the job training. Works alongside operations to develop equipment based knowledge. This is an entry level position. Knowledge will be built through completion of courses based on Pressure Analysis while pumping, fracture mechanics, rock and fluid mechanics, as well as diagnostic pumping. Completion of an undergraduate degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) discipline is required.
Under general supervision, works with customers to develop technical solutions for subsurface problems during job planning and execution. Presents solutions to stakeholders based on subsurface knowledge. Ability to utilize stimulation design software (GOHFER, PackPro, STIM2000) to develop and provide assistance for fracturing, stimulation and sand control treatment designs. Aids in job execution by providing on location technical support. From the wellsite, works to analyze pressure while pumping based on surface and subsurface properties and able to execute and analyze diagnostic pumping techniques. Understands fluid systems and reactions based on subsurface properties.
Works alongside technology and operations team to aid in technology roll outs and development. Provides assistance to Business Development team to address technical needs of customers. Works with Supply Chain to guide inventory decisions with a focus on cost and DOI efficiencies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
Designing, execution and analysis of Fracturing, Stimulation and Sand Control Jobs for multiple projects. As a PE engineer, lead on-site execution of above jobs in onshore and offshore fields. Work on the Stimulation Vessels and lead engineering & optimization for all stimulation jobs independently.
Prepare and optimize job designs utilizing Stimulation software (GOHFER/PackPro/Stim2000). Analysis of Diagnostic Pumping and recommending solutions based on the analysis to deliver most effective stimulation solution. Prepare post-job reports and recommendations based on the analysis for future optimizations.
Develops relationships with customers to meet requirements, manage expectations, recommend and carry out on the job changes from the wellsite. Collaborates with operations and Business Development teams to provide efficient execution of jobs. Work with service coordinators to verify equipment and material for pre-job preparation.
Completes pre job fluid testing and analysis. Provides technical documentation during and at the end of the job to Business Development and customers. Validates end of job packet as per internal processes. Completes projects surrounding basic engineering principles, job design and execution. Understands and aids technology teams in the roll out of new technologies, both surface and subsurface.
Understands PSL specific equipment, and equipment requirements based on job design. Able to operate on the job monitoring software and provide assistance for customer remote viewing operations (RTO). Assists with development of Associate Technical Professionals. Fosters teamwork among all personnel involved in the performance of the work.
Ability to demonstrate technical aptitude to the standards required. Must possess good communication, and aptitude skills. Requires ability to read and interpret formation well logs, completion, and production reports.
