About the role
The Workday Product Manager - North America Payroll, Time & Attendance Tech within the Enterprise Applications / HR, Legal & Compliance Systems team, which is part of the D&T CTO organization, will work closely with HR business teams, Tech Product & Service teams, third party vendors and service providers to ensure proper functional design, implementation, and support for Tech solutions and first-class tech enablement, standardization, continuous improvement, and compliance of end-to-end HR Tech functional operability.
This Workday Product Manager - North America Payroll, Time & Attendance Tech will be accountable for working across the product team to define, implement and optimize our Payroll Tech system/services (Workday & Payroll vendor SaaS solutions) & Time & Attendance system (Workday) and any related tools/technologies (e.g., GPCP). They will possess strong HR business process & tech functional (US Workday Payroll , Workday Time Tracking & Absence, Integrations are a must; additional Workday Canada payroll is a plus) experience to be able to configure the Workday payroll modules, provide technical guidance and advice to the Senior Product Manager Payroll, Time & Attendance, Product Directors/Managers & Experts and HR business process / delivery owners to ensure that HR solution functionality is fit for purpose, meets the priorities & requirements from our stakeholders (e.g. alignment to business process & solution architecture design principles) and deliver value to our end users. They will have technical experience in their area specific to their domain, be accountable for technical artifacts (such as system requirements, Tech continuity plans) and ensure full compliance with internal security, risk management policies and practices, external regulatory and statutory requirements. They will also be responsible for working with Service Teams to manage change and release activities, including Software as a Service (SaaS) updates, in the production service and ensuring compliance.
This pivotal role will be a part of our Business Enterprise Applications Technology team, reporting directly to the Senior Product Manager Global Payroll, Time & Attendance Tech.

Expected Skills & Experience
  • Being currently or previously certified in Workday (Workday US & Canada payroll, Workday Time Tracking and Absence & Integrations - for the US/Canada/Americas markets)
  • Extensive experience in US/CA & Americas payroll & Tech requirements (e.g. 401k plan; US payroll integrations, etc) and ability to work closely to Americas time zones
  • Extensive experience in Payroll vendor SaaS solutions ( e.g., SDWorx, ADP, etc) and Workday integration tool set (e.g., PECI Connectors, Workday Studio, XSLT, Web Services, etc)
  • Proven track record in successful product delivery, via Agile and waterfall delivery methods (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2 or Scrum Inc. Product Owner)
  • Experience working with third parties in the delivery of working products.
  • Experience working with teams across diverse countries and cultures effectively, within a large global FMCG or FMCH organisation.
  • Experience of managing change and release activities, including Software as a Service (SaaS) updates, in the production service and ensuring compliance
  • Ability to clearly articulate/communicate incoming changes & potential/actual impact to HR/Payroll operations.
  • Experience of and exposure to Payroll, Time & Attendance processes within the end-to-end HR & cross functional business processes and being able to navigate the complexity of payroll touchpoints, e.g., SAP (general ledger), banking integrations, Workday integrations, secure file exchange and delivery.
  • 5+ years experience of working with enterprise solutions in these areas:
    • Payroll vendor SaaS solutions (e.g., SDWorx, ADP, etc)
    • Workday Payroll (especially for US & CA markets), Workday Time Tracking & Absence modules
    • Workday integration tool set (e.g., PECI Connectors, Workday Studio, XSLT, Web Services, etc)
    • Other Workday modules/areas (e.g., Reporting, Extend) are a plus.
    • Other Payroll technologies (e.g., GPCP) are a plus.
    • Product/software development tools: A-ha, Jira is a plus.
  • Experience of ensuring Tech solutions are compliant with internal security, risk management policies and practices, external regulatory and statutory requirements (e.g., SOX)
  • Experience of gathering business / system functional requirements and translate them into technical design specs, test scenarios/cases & documentation.
  • Experience of working on global deployments (Global / Localisation concept)
  • Experience of troubleshooting various system issues by being able to correctly identify the root cause and providing the technical fix, solution, or workaround.
  • Understanding of ITIL Frameworks and service management practices for a complex, global service
  • Degree education
