Geotechnical Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Collecting soil samples from a location
• Gathering other data from a location, such as water levels or temperature
• Assessing the geological risks of an area
• Helping organizations choose the best location for a construction project
• Preparing reports about the geological conditions of a location
• Determine how to best complete a construction project without harming the local environment

Preferred candidate profile :

• Master's in Geotechnical Engineering.
• Proficiency in using geotechnical analysis and design software
• Have a deep understanding of soil and rock mechanics and geology to help manage ground conditions in engineering projects
• Understanding of ethical standards with consideration to public safety and environmental impact
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and other teams
• Excellent written and communication skills
