Asst. Manager / Manager - Instrumentation (Indian MNC Chemical Mfg.)

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible to understand, Piping and Instrumentation diagrams, Loop and Hook Up Diagrams, Data Sheets, BOQ, Layouts etc.
• Responsible for review and calibration, Installation and Commissioning of PLC, SCADA systems, HMI systems.
• Analyze current equipments, identify areas of inefficiency and needs for improvement; design and develops instrumentation to meet those needs.
• Design and test prototypes of equipment.
• Reprogramming of the PLC/HMI as and when needed.
• Initiate, implement and maintain the PLC/HMI programs by planned and prevention maintenance.
• Excellent experience in Installation, Operation and Maintenance of control systems, motors and control gears including relay testing and coordination.
• Well versed with trouble shooting, diagnosis and recommends potential solutions for system errors and failures.
• Ensure uninterrupted running of plant operations, by minimizing downtime of machine and equipment due to instrument and system malfunction.
• Understanding project requirements and completing all duties as assigned by supervisor / Seniors.
• Maintain daily records of work carried out through technician, recording of daily breakdown and corrective action.
• Choose and specify instrumentation parts, such as controllers, transmitters, VFD and sensors.
• For planned initiatives, carry out cost-benefit evaluations and feasibility studies.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E / B Tech Instrumentation
• Should have Min 7 yrs experience of Chemical Plant Operations
• Fluent in English communication
• Having knowledge of MS Office
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations related to instrumentation and control systems, such as ISA, IEC, and NEC
• Having knowledge of SAP system
