The outdoor recreation industry includes fishing, wildlife, boating, water sports, snow sports, hunting, ATV, hiking, and biking. We are starting with the fishing vertical in the outdoor recreation industry. The product manager will work with professional guides throughout the United States and enthusiasts in all fishing varieties.

Job Role: Database Analyst (DBA & Heap Analytics / Data Warehouse expert)

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain data warehouse systems using PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and AWS RDS.
• Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity and security.
• Implement and optimize Heap Analytics to track and analyse user interactions and behaviour.
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into functional data models.
• Manage the operations of data warehousing systems, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines and performance.
• Implement data governance policies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of the data warehouse.
• Provide support for data-related issues and offer efficient solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Warehouse Engineer or Database Administrator with expertise in PostgreSQL, Heap Analytics, DynamoDB, and AWS RDS.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and AWS RDS database management and optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in SQL and database scripting languages.
• Experience with database optimization, performance tuning, data warehousing, and Heap Analytics.
• Familiarity with data backup, recovery, security, and integrity practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Skills:

• Expertise in PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and AWS RDS.
• Proficiency in SQL and database scripting languages.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with database optimization and performance tuning.
• Expertise in Heap Analytics and user behaviour analysis.
