Oracle DBA (5+ Years)

Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for design, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of clients database management systems and data platforms, ensuring that all systems are performing at an optimal level. The individual in this position is responsible for implementing processes that adhere to timelines, application expectations, and quality standards, as well as participating the coordination of database-related responsibilities.

Role & responsibilities:

• Responsible for the installation, administration, maintenance, monitoring, technical support, and resolution of database-related issues, including database integrations.
• Serve as a senior-level technical expert for database-related issue resolution.
• Participate in the creation, revision, and execution of planned tasks, including identifying resource requirements, performing task review, and escalating appropriate non-functional and technical issues.

• Must possess exceptional planning, and technical skills to diagnose problems in an environment where priorities are constantly shifting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Ability to document associated programs and integrations.
• Ability to work on small-to-complex projects that require skills in multiple technical environments.
• Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
• Need to have networking knowledge in AWS Aurora Postgres SQL Database Administration, Oracle.
• Prior experience in bi-directional replication using Golden Gate, Qlik or similar tools.
• Experience with cloud applications/systems
• Competence with Linux, SQL, and PL/SQL
• Ability to lead upgrades, clones, backups, and conversions.
• Migration from Oracle to Postgres using AWS schema conversion tool or ora2pg
• Strong performance tuning skills in Postgres SQL
• Understanding Oracle PLSQL code to convert to Postgres SQL

Technologies Required: AWS Aurora Postgres SQL Database Administration, Oracle, Golden Gate, Qlik or similar tools, Linux, SQL, and PL/SQL

Experience (Min ~ Max): 5-8 years of related database administration and application infrastructure experience .

Education Required: Bachelors degree in an Information Technology or related field
