Job Title:: NOC (Network Operations Center) Team Member Monitoring & Configuration

Location: Bharuch

Reports To: Project Head - EPC – Enterprise

Job Summary

A NOC Team Member (Monitoring & Configuration) is responsible for ensuring the stability and performance of the organization's network infrastructure. The role involves real-time monitoring of networks, proactive identification of issues, troubleshooting, and implementing necessary configurations to maintain service continuity. The individual will work in a 24/7 environment to ensure high network availability and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

1. Network Monitoring
• Continuously monitor network performance, including bandwidth utilization, latency, and connectivity, using monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or Motadata.
• Identify and escalate potential threats or service disruptions based on pre-defined thresholds and alerts.
• Maintain dashboards and generate periodic performance reports.
2. Troubleshooting & Incident Management
• Respond to alerts and incidents in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and resolve network issues related to connectivity, routing, and hardware/software configurations.
• Coordinate with internal teams, ISPs, and vendors to resolve complex technical issues.
3. Configuration Management
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices according to approved protocols and standards.
• Apply firmware updates, security patches, and configurations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Document configurations and maintain a centralized repository for easy access and audit.
4. Proactive Network Maintenance
• Conduct health checks on network devices and resolve issues before they impact services.
• Assist in planning and executing network upgrades or expansions.
• Implement backup and recovery configurations for critical network components.
5. Documentation & Reporting
• Create and update network topology diagrams, SOPs, and incident reports.
• Log incidents, root cause analyses, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Provide regular status updates to stakeholders regarding network health and incident resolution.
6. Security & Compliance
• Monitor network for unauthorized access, intrusions, or vulnerabilities.
• Ensure that all configurations comply with security policies and best practices.
• Work with the security team to implement firewalls, VPNs, and encryption protocols.

Qualifications

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Electronics.
• Experience:
• 2-3 years in a NOC environment or similar role involving network monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS).
• Hands-on experience with networking hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, etc.).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Motadata, PRTG, or Zabbix.
• Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, and WAN/LAN configurations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications:
• CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking certifications.

• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Work Environment

• Shifts: 24/7 rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Tools: Access to advanced monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering, security, and operations teams.
