Quality Manager

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to oversee and ensure the quality of our solar power projects and related processes. The role requires a proactive leader with a keen understanding of quality standards and best practices in the renewable energy industry, particularly solar power.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Assurance & Control:

Design and implement robust Quality Assurance (QA) frameworks and processes across the project lifecycle, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.

Establish quality benchmarks for solar PV modules, inverters, cables, and other components.

Conduct quality inspections at manufacturing sites, supplier locations, and project sites.

2. Compliance & Standards:

Ensure all project activities comply with international and national quality standards (e.g., IEC, ISO 9001, MNRE guidelines, etc.).

Monitor and document compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.

3. Vendor & Supplier Management:

Evaluate and approve suppliers/vendors based on quality benchmarks and performance.

Conduct periodic audits and inspections at vendor premises to ensure adherence to quality protocols.

Address non-conformance issues with suppliers and implement corrective actions.

4. Risk Management & Continuous Improvement:

Perform root cause analysis for quality deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Lead initiatives to minimize defects, reduce costs, and improve overall system efficiency.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the QA function.

5. Project Oversight & Reporting:

Review and approve quality assurance plans, inspection reports, and certifications.

Provide detailed quality reports to management, highlighting key metrics, trends, and improvement opportunities.

Ensure effective documentation for audits and stakeholder communication.

6. Team Leadership & Training:

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA professionals. Conduct training sessions for team members and other stakeholders to ensure adherence to quality protocols.

Candidate Profile:

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Electrical/EEE Engineering or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.

Experience:

1015 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance, with a significant portion in the solar power or renewable energy sector.

Demonstrated experience in managing quality assurance for large-scale solar projects or EPC operations.

Periodically visit all Solar sites for conducting quality inspection
