Snowflake DB Developer - Talend/Informatica (4-9 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

Software Development :

- Develop and maintain robust software applications using Snowflake and other related technologies to meet business and technical requirements.

Collaborative Design :

- Work closely with cross-functional teams (product managers, data engineers, and other stakeholders) to define, design, and implement new features and enhancements.

Code Quality :

- Write clean, efficient, scalable, and maintainable code that follows industry best practices.

Troubleshooting and Debugging :

- Diagnose and resolve software issues, including performance problems, bugs, and system errors in existing applications.

System Upgrades and Optimizations :

- Perform system upgrades and continuous optimization of existing software applications to improve performance, scalability, and user experience.

Lifecycle Management :

- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.

Continuous Learning :

- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in software development, especially in the Snowflake ecosystem and data engineering fields.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Experience :

- 4-9 years of hands-on experience in Snowflake development, including working with Snowflake Data Warehousing and ETL processes.

Technical Proficiency :

- Strong knowledge of SQL, Snowflake, and other data warehousing technologies.

- Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and integration with Snowflake is a plus.

Programming Skills :

- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or JavaScript for developing and maintaining data-driven applications.

Data Engineering Knowledge :

- Familiarity with data modeling, data pipelines, and data integration technologies.

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex software systems.

- Familiarity with version control tools like Git and experience in CI/CD pipelines.

Communication :

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating effectively with internal and external teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Snowflake Scripting (Snowflake SQL, Snowpark).

- Experience with Data Lakes and working with large datasets.

- Familiarity with ETL Tools (e.g, Apache Kafka, Talend, Informatica).

- Containerization and working with tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.

- Familiarity with Data Visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
