Role : Sr. Telco Data Model Lead

Location : Pan India (Hybrid working)(All Metro Cities)

Band : P1

Brief :

As a Sr. Telco Data Model Lead, you will collaborate with customer IT, business stakeholders, data engineers, and developers. Your primary goal is to develop a reliable and scalable data model for a critical data migration and transformation project. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring data security, compliance, and quality while remaining informed of Telco industry standards, emerging technologies and best practices.

Responsibilities :

- Conduct and lead discussions with business leads, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to understand projects scope and Business Requirements.

- Translate Business requirements into Data Requirements.

- Understand the data elements and their domains; understand relationships among those elements and inter-dependencies between models.

- Use acquired knowledge and developed Logical Data Models, Physical Data Models, and Data Element Dictionaries

- Develop maintenance processes for requirements and modelling artifacts.

- Oversee data mapping for data conversion from legacy data stores and formats to new data structures.

- Perform architectural alignment with enterprise formats.

- Coordinate efforts across teams that leverage multiple development methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile)

- Determine practicality and technical fit of developed standards and architectures.

- Support QA teams test cases and test data preparation.

- Conducts unit and Integration test support.

- Perform high-level requirements analysis to support application of data standards across the enterprise.

- Coordinate solution release activities and provide production support on need basis.

- Lead and influence to develop consensus across internal and external stakeholders.

- Overall technical competence to deliver data management solutions that adhere to standards and excellent presentation skills.

Requirement and Skills :

Experience : 10 to 12 years.

1. Proficiency and demonstrated experience of Industry (Telco) Data Models.

2. Telecom BSS knowledge.

3. Knowledge of the development of data models compliant with non-functional enterprise requirements, such as security and performance guidelines.

4. Expert knowledge on various Data modelling techniques: OLTP (normalized), ODS, EDW (dimensional)

5. Database Expertise: Knowledge of data warehousing ideas and proficiency in various

database systems and data warehouse (Snowflake, Netezza, SQL, NoSQL).

4. Knowledge of data modelling tools such as Erwin, ER Studio or Microsoft Visio required.

5. Knowledge of ETL methods and technologies (Informatica).

6. Working knowledge in the creation of data infrastructure - such as views, stored procedures, ETL usage, real-time/streaming data integration.

7. Experience in system / business / data analysis related to data migration and data

integration projects.

8. Experience with enterprise data management, governance, and BI / reporting tools.

9. Deep understanding of data flow diagrams, system architecture diagrams, functional and

system analysis.

10. Understanding and hands-on experience of the Data Architecture, Data Quality, and Data Profiling concepts.

11. Knowledge of Data Governance: Understanding data governance principles, data security, and regulatory compliance.

6. Preferred knowledge on AWS Cloud, Python.

7. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills required to build effective data solutions.

8. Lead from the front through actions, with integrity, accountability and innovation.

7. Excellent communication skills required to work with cross-functional teams and convert

business objectives into technical solutions.
