Job Description

Job Purpose. The Senior Partnerships Advisor will be based either in-office in Delhi or remote in Bangalore and will support the University of Glasgows international strategy by fostering and managing student recruitment-focussed partnerships across India. This role is pivotal in ensuring the development and maintenance of relationships that enhance the Universitys international presence in India. About the Role.

You will be working as part of the International Recruitment & Partnerships team, which is part of the External Relations directorate. This team of over 200 staff are responsible for attracting the very best students from across the UK and the world to our undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The team generates over 200 million in international tuition fee income for the University of Glasgow through their recruitment activities. This post sits within the Recruitment & International Relations Team, and this team is responsible for meeting the challenging international KPIs as laid out in Global Glasgow.

It is also responsible for playing a major part in the Universitys Internationalisation strategy and helping develop a network of partners across the world and working closely with external facilitators such as agents and government ministries. Key Responsibilities. Partnership Development and Management:. Identify and develop strategic recruitment partnerships with tertiary institutions, government bodies, and other relevant organisations across India (i. • e articulation agreements). Support faculties in the development of relationships with international partners, ensuring a coordinated approach. Conduct research and analysis on potential partnership opportunities, providing strategic insights to inform decision-making. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including prospective partner institutions, governmental agencies, and non-governmental organisations.

Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of government legislation, market trends, and other issues relevant to international partnerships. Market Intelligence and Reporting:. Provide regular market intelligence and insights to RAIR senior management, contributing to the overall international strategy. Produce reports relating to specific countries within the region to support the development of strategic partnerships.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of partnership activities, ensuring alignment with the Universitys objectives. Liaison and Networking:. Establish and maintain networks with internal stakeholders at the University of Glasgow, including faculty heads and professional services departments, to ensure a coordinated approach to international partnership activities. Liaise with partner institutions to ensure the smooth transition of students to the University of Glasgow (and potentially vice versa), including promotion of joint programmes and recruitment-related activities.

Represent the University at meetings and events, both in the UK and overseas, gathering and interpreting market intelligence to inform strategic decisions. Recruitment and Engagement:. At key times, support the Universitys wider student recruitment activities. Present the University of Glasgow in a professional manner to promote its programs and partnership opportunities.

Deliver recruitment and engagement activities targeting prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students, including for the International Summer School, in the region. Prepare and deliver presentations, workshops, and other promotional activities at high schools, universities, agent fairs, and exhibitions across the region. Maintain a high level of interaction with students, parents, and external stakeholders through various channels. Travel Requirements:.

This role will involve regular but limited travel within the designated region and to the UK as required, with a minimum of one trip to the UK per annum. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience. Essential Knowledge:. Degree-level education or equivalent qualification.

Up-to-date knowledge of Higher Education systems and the broader external market. Familiarity with the UK Higher Education system and application processes. Knowledge of India's market trends in international partnership development. Desirable Knowledge:.

Understanding of the University of Glasgows programs, research strengths, and internationalisation strategy. Essential Skills:. Proven experience in managing international partnerships in higher education. Self-motivated with an ability to work independently.

Strong negotiation, project management, and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Fluency in English language. Desirable Skills:.

Proficiency in a regional language. Experience in market research and data analysis. Essential Experience:. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with demonstrated progression.

Experience in international recruitment, marketing, or partnership management. Experience in event management, presenting, and budget management. Desirable Experience:. Experience living, studying, or working abroad, particularly in Scotland/ the UK.
