Java Architect

We are seeking an experienced Java Architect with strong expertise in cloud technologies (AWS/GCP) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing and implementing complex, scalable systems in Java, with a focus on cloud-native architectures and cloud services like AWS or GCP. This role involves leading the technical direction for software development, optimizing system performance, and ensuring the highest levels of security and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and architecture of enterprise-level Java applications in cloud environments (AWS/GCP).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement technical solutions, ensuring that they meet business requirements.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of cloud-native applications and microservices.
• Leverage AWS/GCP cloud services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Kubernetes, etc.) to design highly available, scalable, and secure systems.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership, mentoring junior and mid-level developers.
• Analyze system requirements and design scalable and efficient architecture solutions.
• Conduct performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization of Java-based cloud applications.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automation for seamless software delivery and deployment.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and cloud innovations.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Java Architect with expertise in cloud technologies (AWS or GCP).
• Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot, Hibernate, etc.) and cloud-native development.
• Experience with microservices architecture and cloud-native application design.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS or GCP), including services like EC2, S3, Cloud Functions, Lambda, Kubernetes, and more.
• Expertise in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in developing highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices and experience with tools like Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design, and experience with integrating third-party APIs.
• Experience with database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and cloud-based databases.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team of developers while fostering a collaborative environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• Certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) or GCP (e.g., Google Professional Cloud Architect).
• Experience with serverless architecture (e.g., AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions).
• Familiarity with Event-Driven Architecture and tools like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
• Security best practices in cloud environments (IAM, encryption, etc.).

Education & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
