Job Description:

Job Summary:

The MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and managing all MEP-related activities in construction projects. They oversee design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of MEP systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Project Planning & Execution:

• Lead MEP design coordination with architects, consultants, and contractors.
• Develop MEP project plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Ensure integration of MEP systems with overall project requirements.

✅ Technical Oversight & Compliance:

• Review and approve MEP design drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Ensure adherence to local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Monitor MEP system installations for quality and performance compliance.

✅ Coordination & Communication:

• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors.
• Attend site meetings to resolve technical and coordination issues.
• Liaise with clients, authorities, and stakeholders for approvals and permits.

✅ Procurement & Vendor Management:

• Evaluate and select MEP contractors, suppliers, and materials.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of MEP equipment and systems.
• Manage contracts, negotiations, and vendor relationships.

✅ Testing & Commissioning:

• Oversee system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure proper documentation of MEP system performance and maintenance guidelines.
• Conduct final inspections and approvals for project handover.

✅ Budgeting & Cost Control:

• Monitor MEP costs and manage budget allocations effectively.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and safety.
• Address variations and change orders in coordination with project stakeholders.

✅ Health, Safety & Risk Management:

• Ensure safety measures are in place for all MEP activities.
• Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits.

Qualifications & Skills:

🎓 Education:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Additional certifications in MEP management are a plus.

⚡ Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in MEP design, installation, and management.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and project management software.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Work Environment:

• Typically based on construction sites with some office work.
• May require travel to multiple project locations.
