Network Engineer L1

Blue Mantis is seeking a skilled Network Engineer who can join us IMMEDIATELY!

The Network Engineer would be responsible for providing managed service to our clients to ensure that their IT infrastructure and systems remain operational through proactively identifying, investigating, and resolving technical incidents and problems and restoring service to clients by managing incidents to resolution.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma, degree, or relevant qualification in IT/Computing (or demonstrated equivalent
• work experience)
• 3- 5 years of experience in a network operations center or similar environment.
• Working knowledge on supported technical domain (i.e. Network, Data Center, Security,
• Operating System, Storage, Cloud, Backup, etc)
• Experience with Network & Server monitoring and management tools.
• Certifications related to above technologies would be added advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor network and system performance and identify potential issues or problems on the
• client infrastructure.
• Respond to alerts and notifications from network monitoring tools and take appropriate
• action to resolve issues
• Identify problems and errors prior to or when they occur
• Conduct regular network and system maintenance tasks, including software updates
• hardware replacement, and configuration changes
• Perform routine system and network health checks and take corrective action as needed
• Routinely identify common incidents and opportunities for avoidance as well as general
• opportunities for incident reduction
• Create and maintain documentation related to network and system configurations,
• procedures, and policies
• Track all planned and unplanned Systems & Applications outages through trouble ticketing
• systems and reporting tools.
• Collaborate with other members of the IT team to troubleshoot and resolve network and
• system issues
• Provide support & assistance to end-users as needed.
• Investigate first line incidents assigned and identify the root cause of incidents and problems
• Execute approved maintenance activities including patching and configuration changes
• Follow the required handover procedures for shift changes to ensure service continuity
• Update existing knowledge articles or create new ones
