Senior SRE Engineer

DBS Bank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SRE Engineer to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in full-stack development, with extensive experience in Java Spring Boot, front-end technologies, any of cloud platform, DevOps tools. The SRE Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Development and Maintenance:
• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable applications using Java Spring
  Boot/Python.
• Implement responsive and dynamic front-end solutions using Angular or ReactJS.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation.
• System and Application Reliability:
• Utilize DevOps tools such as Bitbucket and Jenkins for continuous integration and
  continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Onboard applications into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring seamless integration and
  automated deployment processes.
• Implement and manage cloud-based deployments on OCP (OpenShift Container
  Platform).
• Monitor and troubleshoot application performance issues to ensure high availability and
  reliability.
  
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development and operations to
  ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver
  solutions that meet business needs.
• Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
• Drive continuous improvement in SRE practices, including implementing best practices
  for monitoring, logging, and incident response.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to bring innovative
  solutions to the team.
  

Required Skills:

• Technical Expertise:
• 8 years of experience in full-stack development, particularly with Java Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies, such as Angular or ReactJS.
• Strong understanding and experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with any cloud platforms, specifically OCP (OpenShift Container Platform).
• Proficiency in using DevOps tools like Bitbucket, Jira & Jenkins for CI/CD.
• Experience in Shell Scripting.
• Experience with database queries.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
  

Qualifications:

• Minimum bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minium 8 years of relevant experience in software development, system reliability, or related
  roles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proven ability to manage and optimize the reliability and performance of large-scale systems.
