Consultant/ Assistant Manager - Indirect Tax

Role & responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the process of tax refunds, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations, staying updated on changes and implementing necessary adjustments.
• Handle litigation and appeals related to indirect taxes, preparing necessary documentation and representing the company in legal proceedings.
• Conduct thorough reviews and audits of tax filings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve tax-related issues and provide expert advice on IDT matters.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize tax processes and minimize risks.
• Prepare and present reports on tax compliance, litigation status, and refund processes to senior management.
• Assist in the training and development of team members on IDT-related topics.

Preferred candidate profile

• Professional certification such as CA, CPA, or equivalent or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in indirect tax, with a focus on refunds, compliance, litigation, and appeals.
• Strong knowledge of indirect tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
