Plant Operations Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Plant Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our E-Waste Recycling Facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, optimizing processes, and leading the plant team to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Plant Operations & Production Management

• Oversee end-to-end e-waste processing, including collection, dismantling, segregation, and recycling.
• Optimize plant efficiency and improve productivity while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Implement best practices in waste handling, resource utilization, and recovery processes.

🔹 Process Improvement & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations as per government and industry standards.
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for plant activities.
• Drive process improvements for higher recovery rates and minimal environmental impact.

🔹 Team Leadership & Training

• Manage and mentor plant supervisors, technicians, and workers.
• Conduct training programs on safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure a motivated and skilled workforce to meet production goals.

🔹 Inventory & Equipment Management

• Oversee maintenance and calibration of recycling machinery and equipment.
• Manage inventory of raw materials, recovered materials, and hazardous waste disposal.
• Coordinate with vendors for equipment procurement and servicing.

🔹 Reporting & Coordination

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on plant performance and waste recovery.
• Work closely with supply chain, logistics, and quality control teams.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely compliance submissions.

Key Requirements:

✅ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Management, or a related field.
✅ 5-10 years of experience in plant operations, E-waste Recycling, Electronic Manufacturing or recycling industry.
✅ Strong knowledge of e-waste recycling processes, hazardous waste handling, and sustainability practices.
✅ Familiarity with EHS standards, ISO certifications, and compliance frameworks.
✅ Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
✅ Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

✔ Experience in lean manufacturing or process optimization.
✔ Knowledge of government policies and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) frameworks.
✔ Hands-on experience with shredders, crushers, smelting, and refining equipment.
