Gramener Technology - Azure Data Lead (8-10 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with business goals and industry requirements.

- Create an inventory of the organization's data assets, including data sources, data types, and data quality.

- Envision and design data pipelines and architectures for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption.

- Evaluate current data management technologies (on-premises and cloud-based) and recommend upgrades or new tools.

- Design and build data models for database structures, analytics, and specific use cases.

- Optimize database performance and query execution.

- Integrate new systems and functions into the data architecture, ensuring considerations for security, performance, scalability, governance, reliability, and data recovery.

- Develop and implement data quality controls and monitoring mechanisms.

- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility throughout the data lifecycle.

- Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures.

- Identify and explore new opportunities for data acquisition and utilization.

- Mentor and guide junior data engineers and analysts.

Qualifications :

- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, and data architecture.

- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services (Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database).

- Proven experience in designing and implementing high-scale OLAP systems.

- Strong understanding of data modeling techniques (dimensional modeling, star schema).

- Expertise in SQL, data warehousing concepts, and ETL/ELT processes.

- Experience with data integration tools and technologies.

- Experience with data governance and data quality best practices.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to lead and mentor junior data engineers.
