Eq Client FIX Integration - Associate

Join the Equity Client FIX Integration team at Goldman Sachs in Bengaluru. This team provides FIX connectivity for our Electronic Trading client base. The focus is on the technical aspects of onboarding clients using the FIX Protocol to trade electronically across all Equity products and markets offered by Goldman Sachs. Our client offerings over FIX include single shares and program trading via SOR, algorithmic, and high-touch channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize in-house developed tools and to modify FIX configurations for both new and existing clients.
• Coordinate FIX session details with EMS/OMS and FIX network connectivity vendors.
• Manage and participate in FIX conformance testing with clients and vendors.
• Build strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders to deliver professional solutions.
• Increase automation in the FIX onboarding process to reduce manual touchpoints, enhancing efficiency and workflow quality.
• Collaborate with regional teams to enhance global onboarding processes.
• Perform maintenance and support, including troubleshooting production and pre-production issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of onboardings and platform functionality for knowledge sharing across teams.

Basic Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in engineering, computer science, or an equivalent field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar technical/business-facing role.
• Knowledge of Electronic Trading and the FIX Protocol.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a passion for high-quality client service.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure and deliver high-quality, accurate, and timely solutions.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
• Good knowledge of network infrastructure, TCP/IP, Firewalls, and VPN.
• Proficiency in UNIX/Linux.
• Proficiency in SQL and databases.
• Programming and scripting knowledge in bash/python
