Sr. Manager - Quality Control

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and execute quality strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Define and update quality standards, procedures, and policies.
• Ensure adherence to industry regulations and certifications.
• Lead and mentor the quality assurance team.
• Oversee testing and inspection processes to maintain quality standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.
• Resolve quality-related complaints and enhance customer trust.
• Work with teams to integrate quality at all stages.
• Identify and mitigate risks affecting product or process quality.
• Maintain the organizations QMS in compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, VDA 6.3.
• Ensure QMS documentation is up-to-date and accurate, including procedures, work instructions, and templates.
• Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of the QMS and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with regulatory bodies during inspections, audits, or inquiries.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and industry trends.
• Oversee corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
• Use data-driven approaches (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, and other quality improvement methodologies) to implement quality improvements.
• Manage a team of quality professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management processes to minimize quality-related risks.
• Monitor quality metrics, report on key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide recommendations for improvement where required also to develop metrics.

Preferred candidate profile

• Good experience in Automotive Tier -1 customers handling & fulfilling the Customer Requirements
• Good Knowledge in Automotive Core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA & SPC)
• Diploma or Graduate Engineer in Mechanical Engineering with minimum of 12 -18 years
• Hands-on experience in Customer Complaint Handling.
• Experience in Automotive Rubber products manufacturing Exp. preferred.
• Good knowledge in IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, VDA 6.3 QMS and must have good Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
