Engineer - Industrial Engineering

Role & responsibilities

• Analyze current production processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and cost reduction
• Lead and manage the Process Engineering team, overseeing daily operations and providing technical direction.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to optimize workflow.
• Monitor and analyze labor productivity and machine utilization.
• Plan and balance production lines to maximize efficiency and reduce bottlenecks.
• Ensure optimal manpower allocation and machine setup for smooth workflow.
• Develop, document, and standardize work methods for automotive /rubber production processes.
• Work closely with the planning and merchandising teams to align production schedules with delivery deadlines.
• Monitor production progress and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Prepare detailed reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as efficiency, rejection rates, and downtime.
• Evaluate factory and department capacity and ensure optimal utilization.
• Forecast production capacity requirements based on orders and plan accordingly.
• Provide training to supervisors, line leaders, and operators on new methods and processes.
• Ensure workers understand standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure processes meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct cost analysis to identify and reduce waste, excess materials, or unnecessary steps.
• Ensure a cost-efficient approach to production without compromising quality
• Drive SMT process optimization to enhance efficiency, quality, and yield.
• Conduct DFM analysis to ensure product designs meet manufacturability requirements.
• Implement and oversee FMEA to identify and mitigate potential risks during the development and manufacturing stages.
• Lead Failure Analysis (FA) efforts to investigate, resolve, and prevent process-related failures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, quality, production, and customers) to address technical issues.
• Maximize productivity and eliminate redundant or inefficient processes.

Preferred candidate profile

• Should have Automotive experience in Industrial Engineering.
• Should have 07- 10 Years Experience in IE Roles.
• At least 2-3 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Proficiency in industrial engineering tools like GSD (General Sewing Data), time-motion studies, and AutoCAD.
• Any Degree (Diploma or BE )
