Deputy/Manager Sourcing (Fabric)

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with fabric suppliers and vendors.
• Source fabrics based on quality, cost, and production timelines.
• Negotiate prices, contracts, and delivery terms with suppliers.
• Monitor market trends and identify new sourcing opportunities.
• Ensure quality standards and compliance with organizational requirements.
• Oversee inventory levels and manage procurement budgets.
• Collaborate with design, production, and merchandising teams to meet sourcing needs.
• Resolve fabric-related issues promptly to avoid production delays.

Preferred Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of fabric types (knits, woven, denim, etc.).
• Understanding of fabric quality standards, dyeing, and finishing processes.
• Familiarity with ERP systems or sourcing tools.
• Proficiency in MS Excel for tracking and reporting.
• Experience in managing timelines and ensuring on-time delivery.
• Ability to handle multiple sourcing projects simultaneously.
