Senior Manager - Engineering (Knits Textile Wet Processing)

Role & responsibilities:

• Lead troubleshooting and repair efforts for machinery and infrastructure in the wet processing department.
• Maintain a comprehensive spare parts inventory for critical equipment.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for maintenance and repair services as needed.
• Supervise and mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff.
• Provide training to team members to enhance skills and ensure adherence to safety and operational standards.
• Set performance goals, monitor achievements, and ensure accountability within the team.
• Ensure all engineering operations comply with local and international safety and environmental regulations.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols, conducting regular audits and inspections.
• Work closely with the EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) team to ensure safe handling of chemicals and energy usage.
• Prepare and manage the annual engineering budget, including maintenance costs, energy usage, and capital expenditures.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising operational efficiency or quality.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies or systems for improved cost efficiency.
• Plan, execute, and oversee engineering projects, such as equipment upgrades, facility expansions, or new machinery installations.
• Having minimum of 12 to 15 years of experience in textile wet processing, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
• In-depth knowledge of knit textile wet processing machinery, utility systems, and engineering best practices.
