Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing Finance team. The Accountant will be responsible for a wide range of accounts and record keeping functions of our entities registered in multiple jurisdictions, including group accounts payable/receivable, sundry reconciliations, and financial reporting. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable/Receivable:
• Process invoices, prepare and issue payments to vendors.
• Verify and process employee expense reports.
• Maintain proper records for all accounts payable.
• General Accounting:
• Prepare journal entries for various transactions in Tally and Excel.
• Scrutinize bank account transactions and investigate unknown entries.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Reconciliation of inter company accounts.
• Financial Reporting:
• Assist our expert consultants in preparation of financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets.
• Preparation of budgets, forecasts and management reports.
• Analyze financial data and gather insights.
• Other Duties as Assigned:
• Own the process of payroll processing and employee reimbursements.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CA dropout with corporate experience will be preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a general accounting role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
• Expert in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and vlookups).
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, etc) preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work remotely with his/her own laptop and stable internet.
